After premiering at The Other Place in 2018, this gripping story of a journalist fighting for the truth will run at the Arcola later this year.

Pippa Hill and Sophie Ivatts adapted the play in 2017 from a book by Turkish journalist Can Dündar, who was arrested for publishing evidence that the Turkish government was illegally sending weapons to Syria.

The play was first performed at The Other Place as part of our spring 2018 Mischief Festival, and is a tribute to journalists worldwide who take great personal risks to expose the truth. Sophie returns as director for the London run, with casting soon to be announced.

#WeAreArrested comes to the Arcola this autumn, marking the London theatre's first co-production with the RSC. The play runs from 13 November - 7 December 2019. Book your tickets directly from the Arcola website or on 020 7503 1646.
