Image Licensing

Our performance archive dates back to 1879. We own the copyright of many of our current and past production photos, as well as other related images.

Browse our online archive

You can browse a selection of our images in the new online RSC image library. Here we have archive and contemporary production photos available to browse and download low resolution or order high resolution. Currently this site covers a selection of 15 Shakespeare plays, but we are always adding new images to the library.

We also have many images in our archive that are not in this online library. If you are looking for a specific image of a production or person that you cannot find online, email images@rsc.org.uk and we will try to assist you.

If you have seen an image on our website that states it is copyright of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust (SBT), then you will need to contact the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust about usage on images.scla@shakespeare.org.uk
