From Oscar Wilde’s imprisonment to adoption by gay couples - the evolution of gay rights in the UK.

We are performing Oscar Wilde's play Salomé in the Swan Theatre to mark 50 years since July 1967, when homosexuality was partially decriminalised in England and Wales. This timeline charts the ups and downs of gay rights since the writer of Salomé was sent to prison for homosexuality in 1895, to today.
