We work with Samsung using technology to inspire a new generation through Shakespeare’s plays.

A new digital education partnership with Samsung launches with our For The Good of Rome conference series for 16 to 19-year-olds. The series also includes an accompanying online programme for young people.

The focus is for young people to debate some of the key issues facing society today using our Rome season as a backdrop for the debates. For The Good of Rome explores:

  • Citizenship
  • Political rhetoric
  • Women in positions of power

Young people can sign up to live broadcasts of selected panel discussions from the conferences and submit questions directly to the speakers via social media.

Film challenge

Working with Samsung we will also invite young people to use inspiration from the Roman plays to produce their own creative responses in a unique film challenge. Young people can make and submit a short form film, with the opportunity to use the latest 360˚ technology with the Samsung Gear 360 camera. Samsung experts and RSC artists will offer top tips and advice via an online tutorial. Full details about the film challenge will be announced soon.
