We return to the Barbican this autumn/winter with a spellbinding London season of two bittersweet plays: one magical revival and one critically-acclaimed Shakespeare transfer from Stratford-upon-Avon.

WENDY & PETER PAN

An exhilarating new take on a beloved classic myth of love, loss, redemption – and pirates, Wendy & Peter Pan is an exhilarating take on J.M. Barrie’s beloved classic in Ella Hickson’s darkly witty retelling, directed by Jonathan Munby.

With Peter Pan, fairy Tink and Tiger Lily as her unlikely allies, Wendy gives the Lost Boys a run for their money as she takes on the diabolical Captain Hook, brought to life by RSC Associate Artist Toby Stephens (Oslo, Hamlet) in this ‘spectacular’ (Guardian) staging.

With breathtaking sets from designer Colin Richmond, flying, sword fighting and more than a sprinkling of fairy dust, Wendy & Peter Pan is an unforgettable journey for all the family, playing for 5 weeks only from 21 October to 22 November 2025.

TWELFTH NIGHT

Welcoming in the festive season, Shakespeare’s winter masterpiece Twelfth Night transfers to the Barbican in December, following a sold-out run in Stratford-upon-Avon in 2024/25.

Director Prasanna Puwanarajah revives his ‘inspired and spellbinding’ (The Stage) production, iconically designed by James Cotterill, which sees Samuel West (Malvolio), Freema Agyeman (Olivia), and Michael Grady-Hall (Feste) reprising their critically-acclaimed performances.

With original music and songs composed by singer songwriter Matt Maltese, don’t miss this freewheeling miracle of farce, longing, love and life, playing for 6 weeks only from 8 December 2025 to 17 January 2026.
