As the 2026 Associate Schools Impact Report lands, we celebrate the incredible work of our theatre and schools partners, and what our long term partnerships have achieved so far.

This autumn, the RSC marks 20 years of working in partnership with theatres, schools and communities across England with Building Partnerships: a programme of special events and performances.

Today, we kick off Celebrating Partnerships – a fortnight dedicated to spotlighting the extraordinary work of our partners across the country - by joining forces with those partners to launch the 2025/2026 Associate Schools Impact Report as we also mark 20 years of long term partnership work with schools across the country.

Today’s impact report offers a snapshot of a single year. For a longer view, our new Every Child’s Voice report distils two decades of learning about the role of sustained, long-term partnerships in improving life and learning outcomes for children and young people.

Over the next two weeks, we will continue Celebrating those Partnerships by sharing personal stories, videos and case studies about the very real impact our partnerships have on young people across England - and celebrating the dedicated teachers, staff and practitioners in our thriving network of 280 schools and 16 regional theatres.

“That’s the power of the Associate Schools Programme. It’s not just about teaching Shakespeare, it’s about unlocking potential, raising aspirations, and showing children that their voices and ideas matter”

Teacher from Edgewick Community Primary School, Coventry
