Congratulations to the cast and team of our production of Matilda The Musical. Premiering back in 2010 as our family show in Stratford-upon-Avon, this week the multi-award-winning production celebrates a whopping 11 years, and 4,000 performances, on the West End. The company have been celebrating this incredible milestone in style - take a look here. Thank you to all the maggots who have joined us along the way.

This week also sees the release of Matilda The Musical in UK cinemas. It is the film adaptation of our production for the big screen, inspired by the iconic Roald Dahl story. Tony® and Olivier Award winner Matthew Warchus, who directed Matilda The Musical for the West End and Broadway, directs the film, which had its global premiere at the London Film Festival in October. Watch our video of the moment Tim Minchin, who wrote the music and lyrics, paid a visit to the Cambridge Theatre to coincide with the Festival.

The Matilda The Musical film is produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title, Jon Finn, and Luke Kelly of The Roald Dahl Story Company. The screenplay is adapted by Dennis Kelly with original music and lyrics written by Tim Minchin.
