‘Naughty’, ‘When I Grow Up’ and other songs from Matilda are part of this year’s Young Voices tour which brings children together in arenas across the country to form the world’s largest school choir.

We took our Miss Honey, Lydia White, to the O2 for a special performance with a choir of more than 8,000 children.

Lydia White also made a surprise visit to a class of school children at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Greenwich to talk to the children and hear how their rehearsals have been going.

Matilda The Musical composer Tim Minchin also sent a special good luck to all the children performing songs from Matilda this year – see the videos on Matilda's Instagram.

More than 202,000 children from 4,700 schools will perform throughout January and February at arenas in Sheffield, Birmingham, Manchester and London. Each performance features a choir of 5,000-8,000 children.
