Following a sell-out premiere run in Stratford-upon-Avon, the new play based on the works by George R. R. Martin will transfer to London in 2027.

Martin’s Game of Thrones: The Mad King, the new play based on novels by George R. R. Martin, adapted by Duncan Macmillan and directed by Dominic Cooke, will open in London in 2027.

The final performance at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre will take place on Saturday 5 September, following a sold-out run.
The Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones: The Mad King is produced by Simon Painter, Tim Lawson, Mark Manuel, Sir Leonard Blavatnik and Danny Cohen for Access Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures obo HBO.
