Last week, after a hiatus of nearly two years, we welcomed over 100 teachers, young people and theatre practitioners to our annual Associate Schools symposium, Connected.

Connected brought together teachers from our Lead Associate Schools and practitioners from our Associate Regional Theatres to take part in a series of practical sessions around Much Ado About Nothing, as well as discuss leadership, research and the future of our Associate Schools programme.

The event emphasised reconnecting and rebuilding a sense of community, allowing participants to share their experiences and consider the impact of the pandemic on schools and theatres.

Members of our Youth Advisory Board were also involved, looking at how the RSC can help to tackle some of the biggest issues facing young people in schools today and meeting with our leadership team to have their say.

Delegates also had the chance to visit our Rooftop Restaurant and see a performance of our brand new musical, The Magician's Elephant.
