Part of 37 Plays, a national playwriting project to create a series of 37 brand new plays that reflect the world we live in today.
A young Autistic girl gets left on an island by her parents because they can no longer cope with her differences and struggles. She meets an islander, or so she thinks. He turns out to be a long lost relative who teaches her to accept herself for who she is.
About the playwright
Felicity is a 13-year-old, year 9 who attends the Skipton Academy in North Yorkshire. She spends her spare time, dancing, in the gym or on a rugby field. She also loves to bake. Abandoned is her first play and she wrote it as it was the final piece of the scheme of work they did in school. She made a mood board and then developed her ideas.
