October Half Term Activities

Join us during October half term for workshops and activities for all the family from 23 - 26 October 2017.

Adults with full-price tickets for our family exhibition The Play's The Thing can also bring up to four under-18s to climb the Tower and explore our exhibition of props and costumes for free throughout the holidays.

WORKSHOPS

Alongside our drop in activities, exhibitions and events, you can take part in workshops, using approaches straight from our rehearsal rooms. These are broken down into two age ranges:

Introduce

Introduce the love of theatre and Shakespeare to your family with our series of fun and active 45 minute taster workshops.

Discover

Ahead of our ‘Twelfth Night Wassail’ in January, join arranger Paul Sartin to learn specially commissioned choral arrangements of traditional wassailing songs and carols for mixed voices. No experience necessary – just be prepared to come and sing!

Roughly translated as ‘be in good health’, wassailing is an English tradition associated with the Twelfth Night of Christmas, singing the health of apple trees in the hope they might yield a good harvest. Paul Sartin is a founding member of award-winning folk ensembles such as Belshazzar's Feast, Faustus and Bellowhead. His book of choral arrangements of folk songs, ‘The Community Choir Collection: Folk’ was published by Faber Music.
