Celebrate the arrival of summer 2021 with a series of free pop-up performances, interactive workshops and outdoor activities, running Tuesday Friday every week until 20 August in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Tuesday Comedy Time

2pm and 3.30pm
Tuesday 10 and 17 August

Inspired by themes in The Comedy of Errors, join us on Tuesday afternoons on the Bancroft Terrace for funny, energetic, and silly performances, suitable for all the family. Performances last 30 minutes and are suitable for all ages.

Wednesday Pop-up Performances

10.30am and 2.30pm
Wednesday 11 & 18 August

Join us across the town for our free pop-up performance, Georgie The Knight and the Armour Too Bright.

Each 25-minute performance is followed by a 25-minute craft workshop.

Wednesday Craft

Join us on the Bancroft Terrace for craft activities inspired by costume making techniques. Drop in for as long as you like and find out about different techniques from gunking to printing.

Thursday Music on the Bancroft Terrace

Enjoy a drink or an ice cream from the Riverside Cafe as you listen to a free music gig on our terrace outside the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Lydia & Manfred Gorvy Garden Theatre

Start your day like an actor in the rehearsal room.
Join our workshop leaders for a weekly warm up in the Garden Theatre. From your seats, you’ll be invited to warm up your voice and body as well as ask questions about being in a rehearsal room. These fun, interactive sessions are the perfect excuse to get on your feet and join in the fun with family and friends.

Friday 6 August will be BSL interpreted.

Costume Day

To celebrate the newly re-opened Costume Workshop on Waterside, we are hosting a free festival of costume making through the ages in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre.

Join us for performances, workshops, exhibitions and family-friendly activities, giving you the opportunity to get creative, be entertained, relax and party whilst learning about the hidden history of the our Costume Workshop and the people who make the costumes you see on stage.
