The Wroxton College programme offers students studying at the Oxfordshire College an academic semester-long experience around the works of Shakespeare.  The FDU School of the Arts is the exclusive US partner of the RSC that offers a Fall semester residential program in the UK.

The Page to Stage course integrates the study of Shakespeare’s plays as literature with live productions of plays at the RSC, backstage tours, repertoire linked workshops with cast members, and visits to historic Shakespeare sites.

There is also an elective course in Musical Theatre Cabaret, which draws on the RSC’s rich heritage in this field such as the current West End production, Matilda The Musical

The first year of the five-year RSC partnership began in Fall 2022. Students took part in a series of workshops led by RSC Directors and Associate Learning Practitioners and saw productions of Richard III, All’s Well That Ends Well and Matilda The Musical. In June 2023, teachers experienced a professional development programme led by RSC Learning on campus in New Jersey.

The Fall 2023 programme will see students experience a series of workshops focused on Directing and Casting, talkbacks and Q&As led by RSC Practitioners, Creatives and Associate Learning Practitioners in London and in Stratford upon Avon. They will also have the opportunity to see productions of Macbeth and The Merchant of Venice: 1936 at the RSC's theatres in Stratford. In London, students will attend performances of the multi-award winning shows Matilda The Musical and My Neighbour Totoro
