Andrew was born in Liverpool and grew up there and in London before graduating from the University of Oxford.

He joined the RSC from London Theatre Company/the Bridge Theatre, where he started in 2015/16 as General Manager before becoming Director of Finance and Administration. He worked across all the company’s output since the theatre opened in 2017 overseeing the growth of the organisation from a start-up to its current incarnation.

Andrew also created the business model and financial plan for Lightroom, which opened in 2023 at King's Cross with the exhibition David Hockney: Bigger and Closer.

Before this, he worked as a corporate lawyer at two leading international law firms and previously as a freelance theatre director and producer.
