Our theatres are unique places to host your wedding – we are licensed for ceremonies and offer delicious in-house catering to complement your special day

Thank you for your continued interest in hiring a space at the Royal Shakespeare Company. We are working on plans to get our exciting spaces opened for hires and events soon and will update this page when bookings and site visits are available.

Imagine yourself, centre stage, spotlight, all eyes on you. Or perhaps you fancy a more intimate setting backed by the beautiful River Avon. We have a variety of rooms that cater for all wants - for those that dream big or those that prefer things small yet perfectly formed.

We are fully licensed for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships and we offer dedicated in-house catering to complement your special day. We can cater for drinks receptions, stunning wedding breakfasts and celebratory receptions in our main building and our venue The Other Place, which is just a short walk from the theatres and Holy Trinity Church.

The RST Stage

Get married in the world famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre. With a Shakespearean thrust stage and you in its centre, your guests will surround you on three levels. Perfect for when you want all eyes on you.

The Swan stage

The Swan Theatre is a more intimate space, perfect for wedding ceremonies. The auditorium features traditional wooden galleries replicating the Victorian splendour of the original Shakespeare Memorial Theatre.

The Other Place

Our newest events space has lots of room for the party of a lifetime. The studio theatre seats up to 200 people as well as two generously proportioned rehearsal rooms - all available for you and your guests.

Circle Bar

This art deco bar overlooks the River Avon. For a dramatic entrance you and your guests will climb the original marble Fountain Staircase. Perfect for events needing that extra 'Wow!'

Upper Circle Bar

The Upper Circle Bar is our hidden gem. It retains its original art deco features and is a great space for your wedding. Enjoy views across the Bancroft Gardens and soak up the atmosphere of the main theatre building.
