This summer at the Royal Shakespeare Company families can become a senator, a gladiator, a tribune or Caesar in a new interactive artwork where visitors are invited to come and play for the day with I Think I Can. Inspired by the RSC’s current Rome season and devised by Terrapin Puppet Theatre, I Think I Can uses puppetry and live video to create a miniature ancient Rome inspired town.

The RSC has made a miniature town with 150 playful figures for the free event. Participants will first take part in a personality test and be matched with their own Roman character mini figure. Visitors can then enjoy finding out more about their figure before placing it in the Roman town where its journey will begin. Through puppetry, live video and live audience interaction, this innovative public artwork asks who would you like to be today?

Tasmanian based Terrapin Puppet Theatre offers contemporary puppetry, creating puppetry-based performances for all ages. I Think I Can has been seen around the world with editions in Taiwan, Australia and the Netherlands with the Roman version specially commissioned for the RSC.

I Think I Can takes place at The Other Place from Tuesday 25 July to Saturday 5 August except Sundays from 11am to 2pm. Suitable for ages seven and over.
