Bored of the same old family days out? Trying to find something to keep the kids entertained on a rainy weekend? We have taken the hard work out of planning an exciting day out with our full and half day itineraries. 

Our new exhibition, The Play's The Thing, is fun for all the family. With both interactive exhibits and a treasure trove of curious items it is suitable for all ages, and better still, kids go FREE on Sundays! (up to four children go free with each full price paying adult).

There is so much to do at the Royal Shakespeare Company, you will be sure to find activities that the whole family will enjoy.


Suggested full day itinerary

Come and spend the day with us

  • 10am arrive, collect your tickets from the Box Office, park your buggy and visit the toilets
  • 10.30am take a guided tour
  • 11.30am browse the FREE dressing up box and take lots of pictures 
  • 12 noon grab a story blanket from the The Other Place and eat your lunch next to the river
  • 1pm Visit The Play's The Thing   
  • 2pm have a drink and a snack in the Riverside Cafe whilst enjoying the FREE playcart
  • 3pm visit the Theatre Tower for stunning views over Shakespeare's home town                     
  • 3.30pm borrow a FREE adventure bag and retrace your steps around the RSC learning more about Shakepeare's plays and our theatres
  • 4.30pm collect your things from the cloakroom and start planning your next visit!
 COST: £15 adult, £7.50 child

Only an hour to spare?

Relax on the sofas with a coffee or a cold drink, while the family enjoy the FREE play cart in Susie's Cafe Bar at The Other Place. Well behaved dogs are also welcome.

Really little ones? We have activities for babies and toddlers too! With Kate's Storytree, and our Second Saturday events at The Other Place, you can get the whole family involved.

Enjoy spectacular views across Stratford-upon-Avon and beyond from our Tower.

A lift will take you up to the viewing platform and, as you descend via the stairs, you will discover an exhibition installed on the walls and in the alcoves.

Our friendly staff will be on hand to answer your questions.
