Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic all planned in person Patrons Events have been cancelled or postponed until 2021. We are currently hosting a programme of exclusive events online.

Upcoming Patron Events

  • Talking Shakespeare with Gregory Doran - RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran invites some very special guests and RSC Associate and Honorary Associate Artists to join him to talk about Shakespeare, their memories of the RSC and more. Patrons have access to all episodes from both series 1 and 2. 
  • Rhetoric in the Rehearsal Room, Thursday 26 November, 6.30-8pm - £25 – Benet Brandreth, a specialist in rhetoric is joined by RSC Associate Artist Ed Bennett and members of the current RSC acting company to explore the power of Shakespeare’s words through a live streamed workshop. A chance to observe how actors work through a scene to enhance their performance by unlocking the language, followed by the opportunity to ask your questions in a live Q&A.

  • Screening at the RSC with John Wyver, Wednesday 20 January 2021, 6-7pm  RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran in conversation with John Wyver, broadcast historian and producer of RSC Live from Stratford-upon-Avon. Join us to hear about the highlights and challenges of screen adaptations.

  • Supporter Streaming of Julius Caesar, Thursday 21 January 2021, 7pm – For this acclaimed production, Artistic Director Gregory Doran relocated Shakespeare’s great political thriller to contemporary Africa. This is the filmed version of the 2012 production which played in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
