As one of our Friends, you can enjoy special exclusive events such as In Conversations with RSC actors.

The RSC Friends enjoy a lively programme of events, including In Conversations with actors from the current RSC companies and day trips. Guests at past talks include Judi Dench, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and Antony Sher. RSC Friends' events currently take place in Stratford-upon-Avon and London.

  • In Conversation: Ian Hughes

    Stratford Methodist Church
    Friday 16 August, 4pm
    Ian Hughes appeared in many plays and notably played the Fool to Robert Stephens’s King Lear in 1993. He was also the winner of the very first Ian Charleson award and we are delighted that he is back in Stratford-upon-Avon, this time playing Sir Hugh Evans in The Merry Wives of Windsor

  • In Conversation: Patrick Walshe McBride

    Friday 6 September, 4pm

    Patrick is appearing in both The Merry Wives of Windsor as Slender and The School for Scandal as Sir Benjamin Backbite. Although this is his RSC debut season, he will be very familiar to those of you who are fans of the Shakespeare and Hathaway TV series.

    We are continuing to meet informally for coffee every few months. We first started doing this at the end of lockdown and it has proved to be popular. Do come along at any point during the above times, get yourself a drink and join us for a chat. No need to book.

You need to be an RSC Friend to book for these events. Tickets for Friends' events are usually £6 for Friends, £7 for guests and £3 for under 25s (unless otherwise stated). We recommend RSC Friends' events are suitable for children aged 12 and above.

Please note guest tickets may only be purchased by current RSC Friends on behalf of their guest.

All profits from Friends' events go towards supporting our programme of activities or towards the cost of equipment required by our departments.
