RSC INTRODUCE BRAND NEW FOOD AND DINING OFFERS

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) introduces a new intimate dining venue, along with exciting new menu options at their theatre venues in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Visitors to the Company’s newly created Circle Bar and Dining, which boasts fantastic views across the River Avon, can now enjoy simple dishes such as a sirloin of dry aged roast beef with gratin potatoes and a side salad. A chef will be on-hand in this new dining space to carve and plate up the food for diners. The menu also includes a vegetarian option alongside a selection of seasonal desserts.

The RSC is also introducing a range of gourmet hotdogs at Susie’s Café Bar based at the Company’s The Other Place down the road from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. There, diners can now choose from a new range of gourmet hotdogs which includes - a Hawaiian inspired hotdog with pineapple salsa and crispy cured maple bacon; a Texan feast hotdog with refried beans, sour cream, jalapenos, crispy onions and cheese; a Balti style hotdog with curry sauce, mint yogurt, crispy onions and crushed poppadums or the classic Naked hotdog which can be enjoyed with or without mustard and tomato ketchup. Finally, the Shakespeare hotdog, based on ‘fidget piepopular in Shakespeare’s day, which includes onions glazed in ale, black pudding, stilton and apple. All hotdogs come in a brioche bun, and a vegetarian sausage made from pulses and beans is also available.

RSC Executive Chef Simon Malin said: “Food, like the theatre, brings people and families together which is why I'm excited to introduce our brand-new dining space and food offer, plus a range of fantastic gourmet hotdogs to open up more of the RSC to people looking to have a great shared culinary experience.”

The Royal Shakespeare Company creates theatre at its best, made in Stratford-upon-Avon and shared around the world. Everyone at the RSC - from actors to armourers, musicians to technicians - plays a part in creating the world you see on stage. All our productions begin life at our Stratford workshops and theatres and we bring them to the widest possible audience through our touring, residencies, live broadcasts and online activity. So wherever you experience the RSC, you experience work made in Shakespeare’s home town.

We encourage everyone to enjoy a lifelong relationship with Shakespeare and live theatre.  We produce an inspirational artistic programme each year, setting Shakespeare in context, alongside the work of his contemporaries and today’s writers.  We have trained generations of the very best theatre makers and we continue to nurture the talent of the future. We reach 450,000 children and young people annually through our education work across the UK, transforming their experiences in the classroom, in performance and online. Registered charity no. 212481 www.rsc.org.uk
