60 years of memories

Last year we celebrated 60 years since the granting of our royal charter, and as we continue to celebrate this milestone, we want to hear from you. You, along with the millions of others who have enjoyed performances in Stratford-upon-Avon, London, across the country and around the world, are at the heart of our Royal Shakespeare Community. 

Our audiences are part of our history, and we want to hear your voice and your experiences. From your first time visit to your favourite Shakespeare or family production, how the RSC has inspired you, or even bumping into your favourite actor, we would love to hear your most cherished memory of the RSC.

My most proud moment was watching my son, Anthony Henry, on the Stratford stage as Bottom - Anne Henry, Member

My most proud moment was watching my son, Anthony Henry, on the Stratford stage as Bottom, in Erica Wyman's production of "Midsummer Night's Dream a Play for the Nation". He was part of Poulton Drama's contribution to that wonderful year and my two nights at the RSC at that time was such a memorable experience. I've attached a promo photo of Anthony with Ayesha Dharker in the Dream. It is on my wall at home and reminds me of the wonderful work of the RSC every day. The outreach of that production has had so many amazing results. Anthony has ever been grateful for all the teaching and experience he received from the Dream Team, and has put it to good use in his own productions, back home at Poulton-le-Fylde. I can only get to Stratford twice a year and have missed it terribly during the pandemic. Here's hoping for better times. I'm delighted the costume studio is going well and look forward to seeing it in the fullness of time. Stitch in Time was a great idea! Thank you RSC for all you do.
