Step into the heart of the story

At the RSC, we know that theatre has the power to bring people together to experience stories that deepen our understanding of ourselves, each other and the world around us. Our Production Circle is for those who share this belief and want to be a vital part of making exceptional theatre happen.

With a gift of £25,000 or more ($34,000), you’ll be brought behind the scenes of a production of your choice. From the first spark of an idea to opening night, you’ll be witness to the magic of theatre unfold at every stage of the creative process.

As a Production Circle supporter, you will be instrumental in the development of a play, helping to unlock Shakespeare and live theatre’s transformational power, bringing work to life in innovative, exciting and accessible ways. You will:

• Meet and hear from the artists shaping the production
• Hear first about exclusive insights into the creative process
• Experience the transformation of a story into live performance

It has given me the opportunity to engage more closely with the company, to observe aspects of the creative process coming together, whether that’s getting to know the cast and creative team, seeing how the scenes develop in rehearsals, or watching the costumes being made and sets being built. To thank you for your exceptional support, you’ll enjoy unique experiences, including special updates and meeting actors, artists, and creatives, that will bring you closer to the work you’ll eventually see onstage.

Examples of this could include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Exclusive updates before anyone else about the creative process as it unfolds
  • A concept meeting with the show director
  • Invitations to sit in on company rehearsals, including technical and dress rehearsals
  • Witness the process behind the costume making
  • Hosting a group of up to 10 guests at a performance of your choosing. If you choose the production’s Press Night, you will all be invited to the post-show party with the acting company and creatives.
  • Hosting an end-of-show celebratory dinner, or equivalent, at a select restaurant for the artists and creatives (additional costs apply).
  • Being celebrated for your support and acknowledged on the RSC’s website production pages, supporter lists, in press releases, and in our annual report
  • Receiving a piece of theatre history with a gift of a pre-selected prop or element of costume

YOUR GIFT TO THE ROYAL SHAKESPEARE COMPANY

The Production Circle comprises a benefits value which reflects the actual costs of providing those benefits to the charity. The benefits can be purchased separately at this price. Any amount given over and above the benefits value are given freely as a donation and is eligible for Gift Aid. The RSC Production Circle benefit value is £1,787.97.
