ABOUT OUR CASE STUDIES

Teachers believe other teachers when it comes to what works in the classroom.

There is no more powerful tool for implementing change than through teachers sharing the impact of new approaches to teaching and learning on their own practice and on the students they teach.

To produce this series of case studies we asked a group of teachers to record the changes that happened in their classrooms as a result of their work with the RSC and their regional theatre.

You will find reports of improvements in pupil progress and attainment, examples of how teachers supported colleagues to adopt new approaches to teaching Shakespeare and discoveries about the wider impact of our work on parents and the local community.

Overall, the studies are a testament to the hard work, commitment and passion of the teachers, schools and theatres we work with, through our long term partnership project, the Associate Schools programme.

Many of the schools cite RSC professional development practices. However, the impact of the Associate Schools programme is only possible because of our Regional Theatre Partners.
