See firsthand the impact of your support at our Playmaking Festival in Stratford-upon-Avon, a key strand of our Associate Schools Programme which celebrates the creativity and imagination of young people. This year, we invite you to join us to see a new production of King Lear, created and performed by young people from across the country, who are taking over The Other Place to perform.

ARTISTS CIRCLE WEEKEND

Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July

Enjoy three productions across two days! Begin your weekend with visionary director Yaël Farber’s The Winter’s Tale. You will then enjoy a dinner with fellow supporters and creatives before seeing our Co-Artistic Director Tamara Harvey’s take on W. Somerset Maugham’s The Constant Wife in the evening.

Early on Sunday morning, participate in a theatrical experience by watching Sarah Kane’s 4.48 Psychosis at 4.48am in The Other Place. Following this performance the cast will join you for breakfast. This special weekend is curated around this crucial moment which grounds Kane’s last play, and is not to be missed.

LONDON THEATRE CLUB

The RSC is a crucible for the world's most exceptional artists and theatre-makers. To celebrate the enduring legacy of our alumni and their profound impact on theatre as a whole, we are delighted to host our London Theatre Club. We will be regularly visiting productions in theatres across the city and each evening will include an opportunity to meet an alumni, current or future RSC artist.

Past London Theatre Club evenings:

Our first outing of the season took place in March at the Bridge Theatre, where we were warmly welcomed by RSC alumnus and Board Member Nicholas Hytner ahead of his powerful production of Richard II, starring Jonathan Bailey in the title role. Later, we attended the West End transfer of Giant, where we had the pleasure of meeting Olivier Award-winning actor Elliot Levey after the performance. He captivated us with stories from behind the scenes, reflecting on his dual roles as Tom Maschler in Giant and Polonius in Rupert Goold’s bold, maritime-themed Hamlet for the RSC.

London Theatre Club will take a break over the summer months, and we look forward to welcoming you to future outings, all of which will be updated here.

Future evenings with London Theatre Club will be updated here.

Press Nights

Press night attendance is available to Artists Circle Members and Major Supporters with the purchase of a performance ticket. In the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, we will welcome you to pre-show and interval drinks. In the Swan Theatre and The Other Place, there will be interval drinks only. London press nights will include pre-show receptions and interval drinks. New for this season, members of the Artists Circle are invited to attend the after-show party for all press nights.
