RSC Tempest transfers to London in 2017

The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Shakespeare’s late play The Tempest, in collaboration with Intel and in association with The Imaginarium Studios, will transfer to the Barbican in London next summer for a seven-week season.

The production, directed by RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran, and using Intel technology and performance capture from Imaginarium, will play in the Barbican Theatre from 30 June – 18 August next year as part of the Barbican's summer programme.

Simon Russell Beale continues to lead the company as Prospero, and the show will retain the digital technology which will be adapted to make best use of the proscenium stage and the Barbican auditorium.

Priority booking will open for RSC Advisory Council, Artists Circle and Gold Patrons from 10am on Monday 21 November with Silver Patrons on 22 November and Bronze Patrons on 23 November.

RSC Members and Barbican Membership Plus will be able to book from 24 November with booking for RSC Subscribers and Barbican Membership opening on 25 November.

 

Public booking will open on Monday 28 November.
