Julius Caesar

William Shakespeare

This production was part of our First Encounters series, the perfect introduction to Shakespeare for 7 to 13 year olds.

A company of actors have travelled up and down the land performing their stories. Now they've arrived in your town to tell a tale of friendship and betrayal. Caesar, Rome's leader, has returned from war stronger than ever, but some of his followers are questioning his powers. The plotting continues...

Designed for 7 to 13 year olds, this version of Julius Caesar was part of our First Encounters with Shakespeare series and toured schools and theatres around the country. These engaging adaptations are 90 minutes long, use Shakespeare's original language and ask audiences to participate in the story. They are a fantastic first step into Shakespeare for children, families and schools.

Venues for the tour in 2018 included the Swan Theatre and The Other Place in Stratford-upon-Avon, the New Vic in Newcastle-under-Lyme, The Studio in the Bradford Alhambra, Hull Truck Theatre and The Marlowe Studio, Canterbury, as well as schools around the country.
