A Midsummer Night's Dream

A Midsummer Night's Dream performed by The Willow Globe Community Company

The Dell, open air theatre

Sunday 15 July, 2pm

Free, no ticket required

Performed by The Willow Globe Community Company

Shakespeare Link's community company bring their own particular flavour to one of Shakespeare's greatest comedies as they explore the production with local and current resonances.

Their rural community promotes an every-day awareness of the magic around us, the spirit world rooted in bog and hill, hiding a glimmer of secret riches in the lustres of the earth. Shakespeare Link will reflect another world, an ageless timeless place peopled with 'spirits of another sort', to honour these interlacing worlds and to note the enduring hilarities of human behaviour that makes the play so accessible and beguiling.

About The Willow Globe Community Company

Part of the Shakespeare Link and Mid Wales Shakespeare Centre based in rural Mid Wales, the Company works across widely spread local communities with actors ranging from age three to 83 and perform in their own Globe Theatre planted of living willow. They also tour locally to historic gardens and monuments.
