About the performers

Misunderstood Monsters

Aoife Mannix and Janie Armour began collaborating in 2007 on a London Southbank commission Growing Up An Alien. They have since brought their unique mix of poetry and music to venues and festivals all over the country. Aoife has published 4 collections of poetry and a novel. She has been poet in residence for BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Janie has been a composer and musician on over thirty theatre shows as well as currently being Associate Artist with Vamos Theatre.

Misunderstood Monsters is one of several productions that form part of Half Moon Presents, a new initiative that supports the promotion and development of contemporary theatre for young audiences at a national and international level.
