The exquisite Chandos Portrait of Shakespeare, on loan from the National Portrait Gallery, will be part of The Play’s The Thing until 18 December.

This unique portrait, painted during Shakespeare’s lifetime has lived at the National Portrait Gallery since it was founded in 1856, only leaving the building on a few occasions since then.
