Sir Antony is known as one of the finest classical actors of his generation. New York audiences may remember his Falstaff in the RSC’s residency of King and Country: Shakespeare’s Great Cycle of Kings at Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2016. He played many of the great Shakespearean roles including Iago, Richard III, Shylock, Macbeth, Prospero and now Lear.

The Birthday Gala is a chance to:

  • Dine with the great Shakespearean actors of the future
  • Hear stories of Sir Antony’s career from RSC alumni, as he reminisces with Shakespeare scholar and author Professor James Shapiro
  • Bid for bespoke theatre experiences curated by RSC Associate Artists in a live auction
  • Raise a toast to Shakespeare himself
