Lanson Dinner Evening Menu

Starter

Norwegian Skrei cod, Jerusalem artichoke puree, sautéed girolles, puy lentils and cepe sauce

Paired with: Lanson Pere et Fils

A Champagne cuvée reserved exclusively for restaurants and hotels. Distinctively crisp and zesty with a blend of  apples and citrus fruits, due to the extended ageing period this is a rich and well structured champagne with honey tones, rounded finesse with layers of complexity. Distinctively crisp and zesty on the palate showing elegant fruit, biscuit and plenty of freshness on the finish.

Main course

Roast free range Creedy Caver Devon duck, Sarladaise potatoes, black kale, cassis sauce

Paired with: Lanson Vintage 2009

The year 2009 marks more than a century of great Lanson vintages since the first was created in 1904. The elegant, complex nose reveals aromas of candied fruit and lightly honeyed floral notes which becomes more intense when allowed to breathe. The flavours of white fruit, candied citrus fruit and honeyed notes combine wonderfully with the huge, characteristic freshness of this vintage, their balance creating a complex, elegant, lively wine with a perfect harmony of flavours and freshness.

Dessert

Mille feuille of poached Williams pear with cinnamon and star anise, white chocolate cremeux, hazelnut praline

Paired with: Lanson Ivory Label

This is a medium bodied Champagne with pronounced dried fruit aromas and a honeyed character. There is a long, clean and refreshing finish as the residual sugar works in perfect harmony with the balanced acidity.

Coffee and homemade chocolates to finish
