The television series based on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's book comes to BBC Two this month, but how many of its stars have you seen on our stages? Good Omens See which stars of the RSC stage appear in the show David Tennant David plays Crowley in Good Omens, a demon who wants to prevent the end of the world. As well as being an Associate Artist, David has performed in RSC shows since the 1990s, including playing the title role in Hamlet (pictured above, 2008), Touchstone in As You Like It (1996) and Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (2000). Most recently he played Richard II in Gregory Doran's 2013 production in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Michael Sheen Michael plays the angel Aziraphale, who ends up joining forces with David's demon to prevent the end of the world. In the 1990s, Michael played two lead roles at the RSC. In 1994, he played Peer Gynt (pictured), then took on Henry V in Ron Daniels' production in 1997. Sian Brooke Sian plays Deidre Young in the series, a mother who just happens to be raising the Antichrist. Sian was with the RSC in 2004. Most notably, she played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (pictured) and Cordelia in King Lear, directed by Bill Alexander. Nina Sosanya Nina plays Mary Hodges in the show, the former nun who inadvertently placed the baby antichrist with the wrong family. In 2007, Nina was part of the Henry V cast alongside her Good Omens co-star Michael Sheen. She has also appeared at the RSC as Rosalind in As You Like It (2003) and most recently as Rosaline in Love's Labour's Lost (pictured, 2008), directed by Artistic Director Gregory Doran. Paul Chahidi Aside from playing Sandalphon, Archangel Gabriel's right-hand entity, in Good Omens, Paul has been a regular feature on the RSC stage and is an Associate Artist. He was most recently in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in 2005 to play Touchstone in As You Like It (pictured) and as part of the cast of The Merry Wives of Windsor in 2006, alongside Simon Callow, Alexandra Gilbreath and Judi Dench. Josie Lawrence Josie plays Agnes Nutter in the show, a 17th-century witch who was able to see the future. Josie was part of the cast with Paul Chahidi for the two parts of Faust in 1995/6. She also played Dunyasha in Adrian Noble's 1995 production of The Cherry Orchard and Katherina in The Taming of the Shrew (pictured, 1995), alongside Michael Siberry's Petruchio. Brian Cox Brian plays Death, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. An Associate Artist, Brian performed with the RSC many times in the 1980s, including as Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew (pictured, 1987) and as Titus Andronicus in Deborah Warner's 1987 production. Keep your eyes peeled as there are many other RSC actors featured in the show, including Indra Ové (left), who is currently appearing in #WeAreArrested at the Arcola, London, and Derek Jacobi (as Cyrano de Bergerac, right), who was last with us for The Hollow Crown in 2002.
