The production starring Kathryn Hunter will play in New York this week with a new American cast, before travelling to Washington.

After premiering in the Swan Theatre at the end of 2018, Simon Godwin's Timon of Athens will start its US run in New York this week.

The play tells the story of a wealthy woman who discovers the limits of her friends' loyalty when her fortune is lost. Kathryn Hunter reprises her title role in the show, joined by a new American cast for performances at the Polonsky Shakespeare Center from 11 January - 9 February. The production then moves to Washington DC from 20 February - 22 March.
