We are among 27 performing arts companies backing the campaign group for people with children who work in the arts to become a limited company.

Parents in Performing Arts started life as a campaign in 2016. Its research showed that eight out of ten self-employed theatre workers had to turn down work due to caring responsibilities.

PIPA wants change across the performing arts, including job sharing and improved rehearsal scheduling. It’s becoming a limited company to address the scale of change that’s needed, and to ensure that work is ongoing.

One of the ways we support working parents at the RSC is through our Stratford-upon-Avon nursery.
