Congratulations to our Running Wardrobe team, who completed the Shakespeare Half Marathon this weekend, raising money for the Stitch In Time Campaign.

Eleven RSC staff members put on their running shoes this weekend to raise money for the restoration and redevelopment of our Costume Workshop.

The 13-mile course through Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding area takes place on the Sunday of Shakespeare's birthday weekend every year. Some members of the team went on to complete the full 26-mile marathon course.

Led by our Executive Director Catherine Mallyon, our team successfully completed the Shakespeare Half Marathon and raised over £10,000 for the Stitch In Time campaign. The money will go towards creating the best facilities for costume-making, as well as more opportunities for apprenticeships and on-site training. For the first time, visitors will have the chance to experience the heritage of our world-class Costume Workshop for themselves through tours, interactive experiences, and other outreach opportunities.

Find out more about the new Costume Workshop on our Stitch In Time pages.
