Take a journey through 100 years of theatre making with our updated exhibition.

The Play's The Thing reopened this Saturday (7 March) with new props and costumes for visitors to discover.

Among the new items are Judi Dench's costume from The Merry Wives of Windsor in 2006, when she played Mistress Quickly, and a Second Folio of Shakespeare's plays, dated 1632.

The update also features the return of Paapa Essiedu's colourful costume from Hamlet in 2016 and the jester's hat worn by David Tennant as Touchstone in 1996's As You Like It, as well as a range of interactive displays, including our Magic Costume Mirror and Director's Desk.
