Our 2022 production, directed by Roy Alexander Weise, is now available on BBC iPlayer.

This year, we welcomed Shakespeare back to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre with a brand new production of one of his best loved romantic comedies, Much Ado About Nothing. Now, audiences around the UK can watch the show on demand on BBC iPlayer, after it was broadcast on BBC Four on 3 April.

In a futuristic world, two very different couples fall in love – but who is really pulling the strings? With dastardly plots, hilarious slapstick and some of Shakespeare’s wittiest dialogue, this story of matchmaking and manipulation is the perfect way to celebrate the joy of theatre.

If you want to go deeper into the story of the production, you can also listen to BBC Radio 4's Behind the Scenes episode about the show.
