The award-winning musical is now in China, after playing in the USA, Australia and South Korea.

Our Matilda The Musical international tour has reached China for the first time.

The show opened on 2 July at the Dongguan Yulan Grand Theatre in the Guangdong Province and will run until January 2020, with more than 130 performances scheduled to run across China and Hong Kong. Unlike last year's Seoul production — the first to be produced in a foreign language — this version will be performed in English with translated subtitles.

Based on the much-loved Roald Dahl novel, more than 9 million people have now seen Matilda The Musical since it premiered in Stratford-upon-Avon in 2010.

You can find out more about the tour on the international Matilda The Musical website.

Closer to home, our UK-wide tour reaches its last venue this month when it plays at Norwich Theatre Royal from 16 July - 17 August. The West End production is also continuing at the Cambridge Theatre, with bookings being taken into spring 2020.
