Shakespeare's 'Scottish Play', featuring Christopher Eccleston and Niamh Cusack, will be broadcast live to cinemas on 11 April.

Audiences in the UK and Republic of Ireland will have the chance to see Polly Findlay's bold new production of Macbeth in cinemas on 11 April, when it is broadcast live from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Christopher Eccleston makes his debut in the title role, with Niamh Cusack returning to the company to play Lady Macbeth. This modern-dress production will be in Stratford-upon-Avon until 18 September before heading to the Barbican in London from October to January 2019.

Screenings for international viewers will follow later in the year.
