Stratford rehearsals have now started for the show, which plays for five weeks in the Swan Theatre from 21 March.

After rehearsing on location in Cape Town, South Africa, the cast and creatives for Kunene and the King have arrived in Stratford-upon-Avon to prepare for the show's premiere on 21 March.

John and Antony arrive in Stratford-upon-Avon with the Kunene creative team.

The play stars John Kani and Antony Sher as two men in post-Apartheid South Africa who have very different experiences of life in the country. A co-production with The Fugard Theatre, it is a true UK-South African collaboration, as both actors and Director Janice Honeyman are South African, as well as many of the show's creative team. The play will transfer back to the Cape Town theatre after its short run in Stratford.

Kunene and the King plays in the Swan Theatre from 21 March to 23 April 2019.
