Our President, HRH The Prince of Wales, this week visited rehearsals for The Hypocrite and met the cast of the play.

He spent the day on Wednesday visiting a number of different cultural and charity engagements in Hull, 2017 UK City of Culture.

The cast of The Hypocrite are rehearsing in Hull, ahead of the play’s opening at Hull Truck Theatre on 24 February.

His Royal Highness was greeted by our Executive Director, Catherine Mallyon and Deputy Artistic Director, Erica Whyman and watched a short rehearsal of The Hypocrite. He then met members of the cast including Caroline Quentin, playing Lady Sarah Hotham, Mark Addy, playing Sir John Hotham and members of the production team from the RSC and Hull Truck Theatre.

The Hypocrite by Richard Bean plays in the Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon from 31 March.
