Our Artistic Director Gregory Doran picked up his honorary degree from the University of Hull on Tuesday.

Gregory was given the degree in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the arts, during the city's year as UK Capital of Culture.

He received the degree alongside a number of other leading cultural figures, including 16th Director General of the BBC Lord Tony Hall, and Chairman of ITV and former Chair of Arts Council England Sir Peter Bazalgette.

Our co-production of The Hypocrite with Hull Truck Theatre and Hull UK City of Culture 2017 opened in Hull earlier this year, and we will be bringing Hamlet, with Paapa Essiedu in the title role, to Hull New Theatre from 13-17 February next year.
