Join Puck on a 30-minute journey into the eye of a cataclysmic storm in our virtual midsummer forest, now available to watch online for free.

Dream was a series of live performances created in March this year, in which audiences explored the world of a virtual midsummer forest, inspired by the setting of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The show used motion capture as the culmination of a major piece of cutting-edge research and development (R&D) to explore how audiences could experience live performance in the future in addition to a regular visit to a performance venue. It was watched by more than 65,000 people across 92 countries, and featured the voice of musician Nick Cave as the Voice of the Forest.

To create the project, we worked with Manchester International Festival (MIF), Marshmallow Laser Feast (MLF) and Philharmonia Orchestra. This is one of four Audience of the Future Demonstrator projects, supported by the government Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund and delivered by UK Research and Innovation

We’ve made a recorded version of Dream available to watch free on demand now.
