Four hundred years after Shakespeare's death, we welcomed visitors from across the world to celebrate Shakespeare's Birthday this weekend.

The celebrations featured the traditional Birthday Parade, when people walked through the streets of Stratford-upon-Avon to pay their respects to Shakespeare and lay flowers on his grave in Holy Trinity Church.

Radio 3 presented live from The Other Place all weekend. There were workshops and performances throughout the day, and in the evening Shakespeare Live! From the RSC, broadcast on BBC Two and to cinemas around the world (pictures coming soon). And the evening ended with a bang when thousands of people gathered on the Bancroft Gardens for a spectacular fireworks display.
