Cymbeline, 2006

Cymbeline is a play written by William Shakespeare around 1610 and was classified in the First Folio as a tragedy, though some modern critics have defined it as a 'romance.'

It was last performed by the Kneehigh Theatre at the RSC in 2006 as part of the Complete Works Festival in 2006.

Here you can find a synopsis of the play, information on when Cymbeline was written and the sources Shakespeare used.

Over the coming years, the RSC is performing the entire Shakespearean canon on our stages. As the plays are staged we will be adding more information to these pages.
