MAKING THE ARTWORKS
Letterpress printers Harrington & Squires have created their artwork inspired by a quote from The Winter’s Tale, selected by novelist Jeanette Winterson. Watch a video about making the artwork.
HERMIONE: My life stands in the level of your dreams, which I’ll lay down.
LEONTES: Your actions are my dreams.
The Winter’s Tale, Act 3, Scene 2
Illustrator Lara Harwood has created her artwork inspired by a quote from The Tempest, selected by novelist Margaret Atwood. Watch a video about making the artwork
These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air,
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve,
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on; and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.
The Tempest, Act 4, Scene 1
