The Askew Sisters headline an evening of live folk music, food and dance in our May Day celebration at The Other Place this summer.

No stranger to the RSC, Hazel has performed with her groundbreaking folk trio Lady Maisery in both 2018 and 2019, and now reunites with her sister Emily as they kickstart the May Day celebrations in the Studio Theatre. Hailed as two of the foremost performers and interpreters of English folk music, The Askew Sisters are skilled multi-instrumentalists with the ability to rework and reinterpret songs and balladry of a hundred-years plus, creating breathtaking arrangements brimming with depth and connection that can resonate profoundly with contemporary audiences.

With an array of live music, dance and “street food” continuing the May Day celebration post-show in the lively setting of Susie’s Cafe Bar, this is one evening not to be missed.

Tickets £24, including food.
