About Fun Palaces
Fun Palaces is an annual, free, nationwide celebration of arts and culture to encourage communities to create by and for themselves. Inspired by theatre director Joan Littlewood and architect Cedric Price’s vision of the Fun Palace; one venue for all arts and sciences, engaging and welcoming for all, Fun Palaces sees people across the UK and worldwide creating their own ‘pop-up’ Fun Palaces. It is about coming together to create, celebrating local people, local places and community in the everyday.
