About the weekend
Join us at the home of the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon for an unforgettable theatre experience working with our technical and stage management teams.
The weekend is for amateurs who are, or would like to be involved in the technical or backstage side of theatre making including lighting, sound, design and stage management.
You will have the opportunity to learn skills, techniques and ideas from our highly skilled and experienced team of technicians in practical workshops, including:
- Stage management
- Lighting for theatre
- Sound for theatre
- Set construction
- Set design
- Music for theatre
You have a choice of four workshops over the weekend and the ticket price also includes:
- a backstage technical tour of our theatres
- a ticket to see Antony & Cleopatra on the Saturday evening, with a chance to talk to the technical team behind the show
- a ticket to The Play’s The Thing our brand new behind the scenes exhibition
- lunch on both days
